Jacqueline Levinson

Hello! My name is Jacqueline Levinson. (Or Jackie for short!)
I am a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, children's book illustrator and author. I am captivated by life's simple joys and believe in fostering a child's sense of wonder, kindness, and care towards every human being.
Early Journey

I was born with mild cerebral palsy that affected my legs and made it difficult for me to walk. At age four, I underwent surgery and began the process of rehabilitation, wearing leg braces for 2 years. The care that I received during physical and occupational therapy inspired me to became a pediatric occupational therapist.
My sister and I circa 1991

Growing up with CP, I found solace in art. My journey from overcoming physical obstacles to becoming a children's book illustrator is a testament to resilience and creativity.

My love for art was sparked by the vibrant imagery and storytelling found in picture books. These enchanting tales opened my eyes to the world around me, revealing how art can inspire, transform, and connect us all.
Picture Book Illustration
I love the process of bringing stories to life. Including the Collaborative
process of weaving words and images together to create a rich tapestry of imagination and allowing children to explore new worlds and ideas.

I am looking for projects that:
Spark joy and inspire a generation to embrace empathy and make a positive impact.
Deal with big feelings, hard subjects, are real and honest.
